Tymbark Maspex opens a new factory in Romania
Bucharest, the 15th of July 2009 - Tymbark Maspex opened in Valenii de Munte (Prahova county) the second factory of the Romanian group. Thus, the production and storage center in Vălenii de Munte has become the greatest within the Maspex group and one of the first in Romania to produce and bottle soft drinks using aseptic technology, without using any preservatives.
Built in less than in a year, in close proximity to the first factory in Vălenii de Munte, the unit that has been launched today possesses new bottling lines, with ultramodern technologies and increased storage facilities. The activity is based exclusively on the aseptic production system, which allows soft drinks to be prepared and bottled in total quality control conditions, without adding preservatives.

Due to the aseptic production technology in the new center, Tymbark shortens the path between fruit and the consumers’ glasses. The system allows a strict quality control throughout each stage in the production system and eliminates the use of preservatives needed in order to provide the juice with a long shelf life.
“Our customers are already used to quality products from Tymbark. Now, due to the new investments we have made, we can guarantee that their favourite products, such as juice, nectars or soft drinks from Tymbark, are produced by us using the safest and most modern technology, the aseptic technology, which means eliminating the use of preservatives. All these in order to offer consumers healthy and good quality products.“, declared Krzysztof Grabowski, CEO of Tymbark Maspex România.
Practically, the soft drink in brought to a high temperature for a few seconds, enough to destroy any micro-organisms. The packaging is then sterilized in order to destroy any recontamination possibility, and, finally, the product is packed in aseptic conditions, in a closed system, from which the oxygen has been eliminated. In the absence of oxygen, the micro-organisms will no longer come into contact with the product, and this will not be degraded. Thus, both through the packaging we use, and through the production system, Tymbark guarantees for the juice it produces a natural and good quality taste, without using any preservatives.

With a surface of 65.000 square meters, a new production unit has been built, endowed with platforms and loading gates, raw materials and packaged products storage space and office spaces. With the unit launched today, the production surface for Tymbark Maspex Romania has grown by 110%, and the storage space by 160%.
“Romania is a very important market for us, both through the turnover it has generated, but also through the investment we have made here. In just a few years, we have managed to build a very powerful position for ourselves, both in the juice, nectar and soft drinks segments, but also in the instant products segment. But, on the other hand, we have created here a friendly atmosphere for business, which guarantees, through our investment in Romania, a continuous growth for Tymbark”, declares Krzysztof Pawinski, president of the Maspex Group.
The new storage and production facility in Valenii de Munte guarantees a continuous development of the Maspex group, and job security for the 680 employees that Tymbark Maspex România has at present.
